Although the positions with more demand in Colombian territory are the engineer, coordinator, analyst, manager, professional practice, director, head of area and advisor . Many of them do not get such competitive compensation. Recently, the Ministry of Education presented the report prepared by the Labor Observatory for Education (OLE ) . This document, based on a study of the employment status of graduates of higher education institutions in the previous twelve months, allows us to know, among other things, the 20 highest paid careers in Colombia .
Based on this, the Ministry's Sector Development Subdirectorate provided Universia with a list that may be useful to those who wish to clear up doubts as to which direction to direct their studies to have a better future . 1. Geology
According to the OLE measurements, graduates of Geology university programs in 2013 and employees in 2014 presented, on average, a linkage rate of 88% and a down payment salary of $ 3,327,357.
This makes these professionals, in charge of studying the composition of the soil of planet Earth, the most linked and best paid in Colombia.
2. Medicine
The doctors, although they receive a lower average salary than the newly graduated geologists, are the professionals with the highest bonding rate of all: 94.20%.
This means that there are very few medical doctors who do not enter the labor market quickly. The average salary of these professionals is $ 3,017,283.
3. Electromechanical Engineering
As defined by Antonio NariƱo University, the Electromechanical Engineering degree aims to train professionals trained to "design, innovate, project, direct, install, operate, control and maintain electromechanical systems and equipment at an industrial level."
According to the report, this program has a bonding rate of 93.50% and an average salary of $ 3,002,146.
4. Mining Engineering
